Bio

Julia Blanchard leads the environmental impacts and modelling components of the research. She is an applied ecologist with 18 years’ experience researching human impacts on marine ecosystems from global to local scales. She leads an Australian Research Council Discovery Project on predicting the climate change impacts on coastal reef communities. Her research expertise includes the development of size-structured ecosystem models to support sustainable aquaculture and fisheries and comparison of global food systems.
