Melanie Bryant leads the adoptability component of the research. Her expertise is in organisation studies, particularly institutional, organisational and individual dynamics of change adoption. She is interested in applying theoretical frameworks that enable investigation of macro, meso and micro-institutional and organisational dynamics, such as understanding how broader social environments impact on change adoption, how actors engage with each other and their organisational contexts, and how these factors combined impact on decisions to engage with change and innovation. Within her work, she has focused on implementation and adoption of biosecurity policy and practice, technology transfer and the social issues that enable and constrain technology adoption.
